The plaque features an image of a half length Virgin Mary embracing Baby Jesus. Both figures are wearing circular halos and the Virgin Mary has a second oval one too. The custom of holy pictures was introduced by the Capuchin monks who displayed images of the Virgin in churches and distributed printed pictures of them too.
