The central image is undoubtedly a transcription of the icon of Our Lady of San Luca from Bologna, albeit with several variations due to the plastic reworking necessitated by the round frame. A Robbian-style colour range has been used, so the figures appear in white on a light blue background, while more realistic tones are reserved for the fruit in the frame. This bas-relief was produced in-house by the Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola, who still own the original moulds.
