Our Lady of the Dozza Ravine (large). Dimensions: 36.4 x 54.7 x 4.8 cm.

Here, Our Lady is depicted in the centre of a circle of angel musicians with a crescent moon at her feet. This bas-relief icon of the Virgin is based on images from bronze Renaissance plaques. According to local tradition, the icon was displayed in a tree shrine by shepherds who had found it in a ravine. Shortly afterwards a cripple who had fallen asleep in the shade of the tree woke up completely healed.
