This half length Virgin Mary is holding the Baby Jesus on her right side. Her head is uncovered and her long hair reaches down to her shoulders. In the top corner of the background there are two hanging lanterns., whereas inside the frame at the bottom there is a ribbon with the embossed words: S. MARIA DEL FIUME (Saint Mary of the River). This is a 15th century model attributed to an unknown Lombard sculptor.
