Every ImolArte piece is born in our workshop in Imola, where master craftsmen have been working with majolica and hand-painting it, one brushstroke at a time, since 1874. These are objects designed for everyday use and to last over time, eventually passing from generation to generation.

Hand-painted decoration has a living nature. Slight differences in tone, stroke, and color intensity are the mark of the gesture that created them, making every piece unique. Yes, the products can be used in both ovens and microwaves; they are heat-resistant up to one thousand degrees. The only exception, of course, is for products with lusters and precious metal finishes, such as gold and silver.

Can I put the products in the freezer?

Sure, no problem. The only precaution is to avoid creating excessive thermal shock by putting them in the oven or microwave while they are still frozen.

How to wash dishes with gold, platinum, or silver trim?

Products with precious metal lustres are among the most delicate and require special handling:

  • they cannot be used in the oven or microwave,
  • they cannot be washed in the dishwasher
  • for proper cleaning, use a mild soap and a soft cloth and wash by hand
  • do not use harsh or abrasive detergents
  • dry after washing to prevent the formation of spots or oxidation of the metal
  • do not use sharp or abrasive objects to avoid scratches
