This full figure Virgin Mary rests on clouds with her hands clasped together over her breast and her bare feet treading on a snake and a crescent moon. A perfectly circular halo surrounds her head. The figure is beautifully sculpted, almost in high relief and the background is perfectly smooth with no frame. The range of colours is both precise and traditional, the Virgin's dress features a series of yellow circles on a white background, her cloak is cobalt blue and the clouds have a delicate veil of light blue.
