The plaque features an image of a half length Virgin Mary embracing Baby Jesus. This version of the Madonna and Child is framed by ears of wheat elegantly tied at the bottom with a ribbon. A range of colours is used, in large, even areas and with varying intensity. Here the frame is decorated with a cold colour marble effect to create a balance with the intense golden yellow that dominates the central composition. This plaque was produced right here by the Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola, who still own the original moulds.
