"This image is a copy of the painting called the Cardinaletta, found in a house in the Parish of Ghiandolino, Imola in 1868. Today the painting is kept in the sanctuary built in 1973. The original is a fragment of an oil painting on canvas that shows the whole of the Virgin's face. Her head is slightly tilted, her eyes are looking up and her hands are clasped together on her breast as in the ""Our Lady of Sorrows"" ico This Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola plaque is a particularly accurate copy that includes the fragmentary shape of the original. The frame is probably based on an existing wooden one."
